The Wildevy Tradition

Deeply rooted in the community of Burgersfort, the Wildevy MTB Race has grown from a humble local outing into one of Limpopo's most anticipated sporting fixtures.

This event is not just about the kilometers covered; it is a tribute to the rugged spirit of the Platinum Belt.

The race is 100% volunteer-led and non-profit. Every year, the Wildevy Committee collaborates with neighboring farmers and local landowners to unlock exclusive trail access that is otherwise closed to the public.

This unique partnership allows riders to experience the raw, untamed beauty of the bushveld—from rocky outcrops to winding river crossings.

Beyond the trails, our focus remains on family and local upliftment.

Proceeds from the event are funneled back into community projects, ensuring that while we race for ourselves, we build for our town.

The Wildevy Experience

The Wildevy MTB Race is more than just a competition; it's a celebration of the rugged beauty of Limpopo. Held annually, our CSA sanctioned event brings together the best riders from across the country to tackle a mix of the best technical single tracks in SA and fast-paced gravel roads. Don't let the low elevation fool you, this race is fast and requires lots of peddling. AND the original Wildevy MTB race boast some of the best weather for a winter race anywhere in South Africa.

Sanctioned by Cycling South Africa

Since 2024 the Wildevy MTB has been listed as a sanctioned Cycling South Africa MTB race. This draws professional riders from all over South Africa.

Trailbuilder and Head of Sexy Farmers Association of SA. Competed in this year's Winter Olympic Interpretive Dancing - won Silver.
